Ninohe, Iwate

Ninohe (Japanese二 戸 市, -shi ) is a city in Iwate Prefecture on Honshu, the main island of Japan.

Geography

Ninohe is located southwest of Hachinohe and north of Morioka.

History

The city Ninohe was founded on April 1, 1972 from the former municipalities of Fukuoka and Kindaichi.
