Nipponzan-Myōhōji-Daisanga

Nipponzan - Myohoji - Daisanga (Japanese日本 山 妙法 寺 大 僧伽) is one that emerged from the Nichiren movement grouping of Japanese Buddhism, which includes about 1,500 monks, nuns and supportive laity. The founder of the Niponzan - Myohoji grouping was Nichidatsu Fujii (藤井 日 达; 1885-1985 ), who had let ordain at the age of 19 years. At the age of 33 he founded the Nipponzan - Myohoji Order. Later, he was also known under the name " Guruji ". In 1947 the construction of the first Peace Pagoda ( Stupa ), the construction lasted seven years and 100,000 people came to the inauguration. Many more, built by Nipponzan - Myohoji peace pagodas since followed.

The Community revered as any Nichiren school, the Lotus Sūtra (Japanese Hokke - kyō ) as the highest expression of the Buddhist message. She is also actively involved in the peace movement worldwide. In 1982, the World Peace Movement was the largest and had the most followers; there have been happening peace marches, in which the then 98 years old founder Nichidatsu Fujii participated. Your most popular action took place 1994-1995, when she moved from Auschwitz on Bosnia, Iraq and Cambodia to Hiroshima. The Nipponzan - Myohoji builds on singing the title of the Lotus Sutra ( daimoku ) and beating a hand drum as a way to peace.

To date (2007) it has been preserved (though the number of participants in the peace marches has been greatly reduced in size). So wanders eg a Nipponzan - Myohoji community every year from Tokyo to Hiroshima to attend on August 6 in the commemoration of the atomic bombing, on the way they talk in town halls before the rulers before them and submit your inquiry.
