The station Nishi- Ōyama (Japanese西 大 山 駅, Nishi- Ōyama -eki ) is located in the city of Kagoshima in Kagoshima Prefecture in the southern Japanese island of Kyushu.
The station is the southernmost station in Japan.
It has a platform with a track and no reception building. Since the station is unmanned and no ticket barriers has, the fare collection is done by the driver of the holding trains in the one-man -operation system (Japaneseワンマン, wan -man). The nearby train station Yamakawa is the southernmost manned station in Japan.
