The Nissan Saurus Jr. (internal designation: NSJ -91 ) is a race car that was manufactured by Nissan for the Markencup Saurus Jr. Cup at the Tsukuba Circuit in Japan. From 1991 he was responsible for ¥ 2.3 million in kit ( kit car ) or available for ¥ 2.7 million in finished vehicle.
Technology
The Saurus Jr. is powered by a transversely mounted behind the driver's seat, four-cylinder engine type Nissan MA10E single overhead camshaft ( SOHC ) and a displacement of 987 cc driven. It develops 69 hp (51 kW) at 5600 min -1 and is combined with a manual transaxle five-speed gearbox, type RS5F31V. This gear was down to a part identical to the March of R.
Front and rear axles are suspended from transverse links. The tire size is 175/60 R14. The steering is designed as a rack and pinion steering. The single-seat monocoque has a tubular frame with roll bar and an open plastic body.
Special Features
As optional extras for the Saurus Jr. only a mirror and a rear spoiler were available. In addition, different rims and tires could be chosen.
