Nissan Stagea

The Nissan Stagea is a combination of the Japanese manufacturer Nissan, which was produced from 1996 to 2007 in two generations as competition for the Subaru Legacy Touring on the Japanese domestic market of the middle class.

Stagea ( WC34 ) 1996-2001

Nissan Stagea WC34 (1996-1998 )

Series 1

The first series was produced from 1996 to the end of 1998. Basic engine was a 2 -liter RB engine ( RB20DE ) with 130 hp. In addition, there were other engines, the 2.5 -liter six- cylinder ( RB25DE ) with 190 hp and selfsame turbocharged ( RB25DET ) with 230 hp. The vehicle was rear-wheel drive ( 2WD) and four-wheel drive available. The all-wheel drive (4WD ) was the same as the Skyline GT -R. The Series 1 was only available with automatic transmission only.

Series 2 (Facelift )

Series 2 (late 1998-2001 ) was from the base the same vehicle as series 1 The front lights were modified slightly ( fog lamps in the grille ).

Versions

Autech produced by the first two series of special versions. These were with the RB26DETT engine ( 2.6-liter, turbocharged ) four-wheel drive of the Skyline GT -R as well as a manual shift with five gears equipped. The strength of the body has been increased. These vehicles (series 2: Stagea 260RS Autech version ) were, however, rare and correspondingly high in price.

Stagea ( M35 ) 2001-2007

Nissan Stagea M35 (2001-2004)

Unlike the first two models that were based on the Nissan Skyline, the M35 was a completely new development, apart from the engine, which was adopted as its predecessors from Skyline (Nissan Skyline, Infiniti G35 ). There were the following models are available:

  • 250RS/RS V / RX: Motor VQ25DD (V6, 2.5 L NA, direct injection, 158.3 kW), rear wheel drive
  • 250RS FOUR / RX FOUR: Motor VQ25DD (V6, 2.5 L NA, direct injection, 158.3 kW), four-wheel drive (4WD)
  • 250tRS FOUR V / RX FOUR: Motor VQ25DET (V6, 2.5 liter Turbo, 205.94 kW), four-wheel drive (4WD)
  • 300RX: Motor VQ30DD (V6 3.0L NA, direct injection, 191.23 kW), rear wheel drive

In June 2007, the Stagea production was terminated.
