The Nitra ( Neutra German, Hungarian Nyitra ) is a river in western Slovakia and flows through the eponymous town of Nitra. Its source is in the Malá Fatra mountains in the municipality Kľačno in Okres Prievidza. It flows into the Waag, which in turn shortly thereafter flows into the Danube.
