Niwen

The Niwen is a 2'769 meter high mountain in the Bernese Alps near Goppenstein in the canton of Valais ( Switzerland ). The summit is only accessible on foot. Loetschental Tourism estimates the ascent time from Ferden on the Faldumalp to around 4 hours 30 minutes from Goppenstein, also on the Faldumalp, to around 5 hours. From the top of Niwen glances open the Rhone valley and the Loetschental.
