Nizar Madani

Nizar Obaid Madani am (Arabic نزار بن عبيد مدني ), ( * 1941) is a Saudi Arabian politician and Deputy Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia.

Life

Madani was born in 1941 in Saudi Arabia. After leaving school, he studied economics and political science at Cairo University. 1964 ended Madani his studies in Egypt. After Madani studied until 1971 a master's program at the American University in Washington, DC., Where he wrote his 1977 Ph.D. on "The Islamic content of the foreign policy of Saudi Arabia: King Faisal's call for Islamic solidarity, 1965-1975 ".

1965 Madani was hired as attaché at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, and worked at the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Washington. In his work he represented Saudi Arabia, among others in the following years at international conferences of the United Nations and the Arab League. He was appointed a member of the Shura Council in 1993 and 1997. Since 1997, Madani 's Deputy Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia.
