NK Istra

NK Istra is a Croatian football club from the city of Pula in Istria, not to be confused with NK Istra 1961.

History

Founded in 1947 as NK Pula, followed in 1961 with the merger of the city rivals NK Uljanik Pula for NK Istra Pula. In the Yugoslav League, the club reached three times the second division, 1992, he was one of the founding members of the newly formed 1 HNL in independent Croatia. After three downs in 1997, 2003 and 2009, the club is viertklassig.

Stadium

Play their home games in the club Veruda stadium in Pula. It has a capacity of 3,000 spectators.

Fans

The fan base is called Demoni, but they support curiously, also the city rivals NK Istra 1961.
