NK Pomorac Kostrena

NK Pomorac Kostrena is a Croatian football club from the city Kostrena.

History

Founded in 1921 as a sports skiing club Jadran Kostrena, the association was only in 1933 registered as such in the National Football Association. After several name changes, the club acquired its current name in September 1946. It was not until the 50th anniversary in 1971, the club received a club emblem, and 1978 for the first time a lawn. After the independence of Croatia get the biggest club successes: 1996 promotion to the First Division and 2001 in the First League. There you could keep two years. Since 2003, the club plays in the 2nd HNL.

Stadium

The stadium holds 3,000 spectators Žuknica. It has only one main grandstand, which consists mainly of standing room. Only the central part of the grandstand is covered and has seating.

Also Pomorac one of the clubs who have to restructure and modernize definitely in the next few years, they want to meet the new requirements of the Croatian Football Federation for the second division. These conditions were established from 2006, according to which UEFA.
