Nkhata Bay

Nkhata Bay is a port city on Lake Malawi, which is regularly visited by the MS Ilala.

She is also capital of the district, which has an area of 4071 km ² and 164 761 inhabitants. This district primarily comprises the hillside between Lake Malawi and the chain of Viphya mountains. Here tea and coffee is intensively cultivated, two of the main exports of Malawi.
