No Depression (magazine)

No Depression is a Founded in 1995, U.S. trade journal for the music genre Alternative Country. It is published every two months. Your subtitle is The Alternative Country ( whatever did is) bimonthly. The editors are from the beginning Grant Alden and Peter Blackstock.

The name of the magazine refers to a song of the band Uncle Tupelo, which is considered as influential for the music genre. This in turn borrowed from the song of the legendary country band early Carter Family, which commented on the economic crisis of the 1930s with this song.
