No No Never

No No Never is a country song the group Texas Lightning from the year 2006. Entitled the band performed as part of the Euro Vision Song Contest 2006 in Athens. After the German contribution Run & Hide the singer Gracia had landed in last place in the previous year, succeeded No No Never, to record a total of 36 points and thus achieve the 15th Place. With a chart listing a total of 38 weeks No No Never been the second most successful Euro Vision Song in Germany since 1959.

Background information

Written and composed the song was by Jane Comerford. In the German preliminary Texas Lightning competed against Thomas Anders and Vicky Leandros and most of the audience could gain for themselves. In the song, the steadfast love is sung to a man.

The unusual selection of country songs for the competition and in allusion to the venue of Athens (English: Athens) was asked by the BBC commentator Terry Wogan: "Are we in Athens, Georgia? " ( "Are we in the city of Athens in the U.S. State of Georgia landed ").
