Noah Creshevsky

Noah Creshevsky ( born January 31, 1945 in Rochester ) is an American composer and music educator.

Creshevsky studied in Paris with Nadia Boulanger and at the Juilliard School of Music with Luciano Berio. He wat Director of the Center for Computer Music and Professor at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. He also taught at the Juilliard School and at Hunter College and was a visiting professor at Princeton University. In his compositions Creshevsky connects in the manner of a collage natural and instrumental sounds and human voices he processed electronically. He describes his compositional style as Hyperrealism.

Creshevski received awards and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York State Council on the Arts, and ASCAP.
