Nobeoka, Miyazaki

Nobeoka (Japanese延 冈 市, - shi) is a Japanese city in Miyazaki Prefecture on the southern Japanese island of Kyushu.

Geography

Nobeoka is located north of Miyazaki and Oita south of the Pacific Ocean.

History

The city was founded on 11 February 1933.

Climate

The climate in Nobeoka in summer is dry and warm ( about 30 ° C.) and cool in winter ( around the freezing point 0 ° C). In winter there may be snowfall, which are not regularly but due to the coastal climate.

Economy

The city's economy is heavily dependent on the company Asahi Kasei, which manufactures synthetic and industrial fibers.
