The company was founded by Richard Elman 1986 trades worldwide agricultural products (wool, soybean, cereals, coffee, cocoa, sugar), minerals and metal raw materials. The Group achieved in 2012 a consolidated turnover of 94.04 billion U.S. dollars.

2005 Noble Group became part of the Straits Times Index, the MSCI Singapore Index and the FTSE - Hang Seng Index.
