Noble Guard (Vatican)

A Noble Guard was formerly a royal bodyguard, which consisted exclusively of nobles. From Vienna, the Royal Hungarian Noble Guard (also "Hungarian noble guard ") and the " Galician noble guard " known. The Vatican had such a Noble Guard, the Pontifical needle guard. It has existed since 1801 and was founded in 1970 by Pope Paul VI. resolved, because he wanted to reduce the cost of representation. The members should serve the Pope now in evening dress.
