Noble Jones Gregory

Noble Jones Gregory ( born August 30, 1897 in Mayfield, Kentucky, † September 26, 1971 ) was an American politician. Between 1937 and 1959 he represented the state of Kentucky in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Noble Gregory was the younger brother of William Voris Gregory (1877-1936), who represented 1927-1936 the state of Kentucky in Congress. The younger Gregory attended both private and public schools. After he graduated in 1915, the Mayfield High School. He then finished his education at the Mayfield Business College. Between 1917 and 1936, Gregory worked in various positions at First National Bank of Mayfield. Between 1923 and 1936 he was also treasurer of the school board of this city.
