Nockebybanan

Nockebybanan is a tram in Stockholm. The whole line was opened in 1929. The track width is 1435 mm. It has evolved from the tram line 12 and ends today as a feeder for Tunnelbana ( subway) at the station Alvik, which was also the Tvärbanan ends.

The Nockebybahn no longer has any connection to the city center since 1952. In 1967 she was converted to a few hundred meters at Alvik (→ Dagen H) on legal transactions. In order not to have to rebuild the Alvik station with its short transfer routes, the page can change since then by crossing it at the bus stop Alléparken. The existing turning loop was removed in subsequent years. The web is fully operated since June 14, 2009 with low-floor vehicles. The route is double track throughout.

Rolling stock

On the route three low floor railcar of type A 32 are used today. This 30.4 meter long vehicles have 78 seats; maximum it can carry 211 people. The speed limit is 80 km / h

Up to June 14, 2009 also contains bogie coaches of the series A 24 ASEA in use, which were extensively modernized in the 80s were. These vehicles were built in the 40s for the track Alvik Ängby that belongs to the U- Bahn network since 1952. They have doors on both sides, which made it possible to Nockebybana 1967, when they switched from left- to right-hand traffic from carrying on.

Operator

On 22 November 2011, the Executive Board of the Stockholm competent management company of task support ( SL) has to assign the traffic on the Nockebybana August 2012 to Arriva Sverige AB. To provide incentives for the operator, a remuneration model was chosen based on ridership and not to cars or space distance. The contract runs until 2020 and may be extended until 2024.
