Nodezilla

Nodezilla is a file sharing client anonymous Grid Network and an eponymous software to access it. The Nodezilla Grid Network has a similar purpose as the Freenet Project, however, uses a different routing algorithm called Ever Link ( EVL ).

The software is divided into two Network Agent, which establishes the connection to the network, and the client, which includes a GUI. The agent is written in C and closed-source, released the client in Java and released under the GPL. On Windows, the Agent can be run as a service.

The network is trying to reach anonymity. Each participant is free hard disk space on his computer on which the files will be encrypted and stored without the knowledge of the respective user ( swap space ). This is necessary so that the Nodzilla Grid Network users can not be held responsible for the content that they make available randomly for the network.

If someone wants to download a file, it loads it does not directly by the user down, who shared the file, but from the swap space of any other participant.

Since the swap space of each participant is strongly encrypted, no one can know what he just uploads from its swap space to someone else.

Thus, the program disguises not the IP address directly, but it prevents anyone can realize what you just downloaded or uploads.

An additional advantage is that each file that you are free, gets swapped to disk more other users. As a result, each file is repeatedly present in the network, and even then may be hinutergeladen when the person's files has disclosed offline. This gives a greater download speed that can keep up with the speed of the BitTorrent network.

An important extension is to integrate as a plug- in in the popular client Vuze for the BitTorrent protocol there. With this plug - in the anonymous distribution independent of a publication on index or tracker websites. Torrent files is possible. In combination with the DHT functionality in the use of Azureus BitTorrent without centralized websites, or Tracker is possible but this is not compatible with other BitTorrent clients.

Ever Link is not a file sharing protocol. By means of an API can be rather all data services implement over the overlay network. So Nodezilla also supports RTP streaming or PeerSnap using the tools sharing images.

The developer with the pseudonym smkaribou granted until now no insight into the source code of the Nodezilla agent. It is therefore not possible to check the protocol with respect to its granted anonymity. The source code should be disclosed in the publication of a final version.
