Noel Ahern

Noel Ahern (Irish Nollaig Ó hEachthairn, born December 28, 1944 in Dublin) is an Irish politician and served from 1992 to 2011 deputy in Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish Parliament.

Ahern was educated at University College Dublin and the College of Commerce in Rathmines, Dublin. 1985-2002 Ahern was a member of the Dublin City Council (Dublin City Council). He was first chosen for the Fianna Fáil in the constituency of Dublin North - West in the Dáil Éireann in 1992. After his re-election in May 2007, Ahern was appointed Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance in June. His title was Minister of State with special responsibility for the Office of Public Works.
