NOGAT Pipeline System

NOGAT (Northern Offshore Gas Transport ) is a gas pipeline system that connects different gas fields and associated production platforms in the Dutch sector of the North Sea to the onshore terminal in Den Helder. The system has been in operation since 1992. Installed and operated the pipelines were originally from the Nederlandse Maatschappij Aardolie (NAM ). Since sales in the years 2008 and 2010, GDF Suez is the largest shareholder.

About connecting pipelines NOGAT is connected to the German and Danish pipeline system to a network. In this way NOGAT includes, among other things, the only German offshore platform in the gas field A6/B4, which is located in the duckbill in the German EEZ in the North Sea, to the terminals in Den Helder on.
