The Nokia N8 is a smartphone by the Finnish manufacturer Nokia. Special features of the N8 include the integrated 12 - megapixel Carl Zeiss camera with Xenon flash, which comes close to full-fledged digital cameras and an HDMI port. The ARM11 processor is clocked down from 772 MHz to 680 MHz in order to increase the battery life. Can be charged the set via the microUSB connector and via the 2mm charging connector. It includes an RDS radio receiver; through a headset may be received television via the DVB -H standard.

The Nokia Store (previously Ovi Store) provides a large number of other software available for download. Firmware updates

Successor

The vice president of Nokia, Eric Bertman, had announced at a launch event of the Lumia 800 in Russia that Nokia 2012 wanted to publish a much improved successor to the N8.

On 27 February 2012 then presented Nokia at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Nokia 808 Pure View as successor. The Nokia 808 has a 41 - megapixel camera, the sensor surface is greater than the better compact cameras.
