Non Suwan District

Amphoe Non Suwan ( Thai: อำเภอ โนน สุวรรณ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the west of the province of Buriram. The Buriram province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Nong Ki, the Nang Rong Buriram Province and Pakham and Amphoe Sang Soeng in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima.

History

Non Suwan was on 1 April 1991 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by four Tambon Nang Rong from Amphoe were separated. On September 8, 1995, he was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

The county Non Suwan is divided into four subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 56 villages ( Muban ).

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Non Suwan ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนน สุวรรณ ) consists of parts of tambon Non Suwan and Krok Kaeo.
  • Krok Kaeo ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โกรก แก้ว ) also consists of parts of the tambon Krok Kaeo.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
