Nong Bun Mak District
Amphoe Nong Bun Mak ( Thai: อำเภอ หนอง บุญ มาก ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima. The Nakhon Ratchasima province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.
Geography
Amphoe Nong Bun Mak borders the following counties ( from east clockwise): Amphoe Nong Ki of Buriram Province, Amphoe Khon Buri and to the, Chok Chai and Chakkarat in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima.
History
On 1 July 1983, a small district ( King Amphoe ) called Nong Bunnak was set up by the three tambon Nong Bunnak, Saraphi and Thai Charoen had been separated from Amphoe Chok Chai. On 5 May 1989, he was officially promoted to Amphoe. In 2003 the district was renamed Non Bunnak Nong Bun Mak.
Management
Amphoe Nong Bun Mak is divided into nine subdistricts ( tambon), which in turn together hold 104 municipalities ( Muban ).
There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:
- Nong Hua Raet ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง หัว แร ต ), consisting of the whole tambon Nong Hua Raet
- Laem Thong ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล แหลมทอง ), consisting of the whole tambon Laem Thong.
There are also seven administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
