Nong Khae District

Amphoe Nong Khae ( Thai: อำเภอ หนองแค ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the southern part of the province of Saraburi. The Saraburi Province lies in the Central Region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighbouring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Nong Saeng, Amphoe Mueang Saraburi and Amphoe Wihan Daeng of Saraburi province, Amphoe Nong Suea the province of Pathum Thani, and Amphoe Wang Noi, Amphoe Uthai and Amphoe Phachi Ayutthaya province.

History

There are in the chronicles evidence that this district has already existed in 1899.

The Na Roeng channel ( Thai: คลอง นา เริ่ ง - Khlong Na Roeng ) flows through the county. It was used already in the Kingdom of Ayutthaya strategic reasons for rapid troop transport.

Management

Amphoe Nong Khae is divided into 18 subdistricts (tambon ), which continues in 181 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are three small towns ( thesaban tambon) and 16 administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ) in the district.
