Nong Ki District

Amphoe Nong Ki ( Thai: อำเภอ หนองกี่ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the west of the province of Buriram. The Buriram province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the Isaan.

Geography

Neighboring districts ( from northeast clockwise): Amphoe Nong the Hong Chamni, Nang Rong and Non Suwan Buriram Province and Amphoe Soeng Sang, Khon Buri and Nong Bun Mak in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima.

History

Nong Ki was born on March 1, 1974 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the three tambon Nong Ki, yoei Prasat Mueang Phai and from Amphoe Nang Rong were separated. On April 12, 1977, he was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

The district of Nong Ki is divided into ten subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 123 villages ( Muban ).

There are three small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Nong Ki ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนองกี่ ) consists of parts of tambon Nong Ki, Thung Thung Kratat Phatthana and Kraten,
  • Chao Pho Khun Sri ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ศาล เจ้า พ่อขุน ศรี ) also consists of parts of the tambon Nong Ki,
  • Don Arang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดอน อะ ราง ) consists of the whole tambon Don Arang.

There are also eight " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
