Nong Saeng District, Saraburi

Amphoe Nong Saeng ( Thai: อำเภอ หนองแซง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Saraburi. The Saraburi Province lies in the Central Region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighbouring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Sao Hai, Amphoe Mueang Saraburi and Amphoe Nong Khae Province Saraburi and Amphoe Amphoe Tha Phachi and Ruea Ayutthaya province.

History

Nong Saeng was originally a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) Amphoe Sao Hai of. However, he got the full Amphoe status in 1953.

Many residents of Nong Saeng immigrated from Vientiane. They founded their new settlement near a marsh ( Thai: หนอง - Nong ) in which grew many Saeng trees. Therefore, they called their village " Ban Nong Saeng ".

Management

Amphoe Nong Saeng is divided into nine subdistricts (tambon ), which continues in 69 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Nong Saeng ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนองแซง ) itself has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon), it consists of parts of the tambon Nong Saeng Nong Khwai So and Kai Sun

There are also five administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ) in the district.
