Nong Wua So District

Amphoe Nong Wua So ( in Thai อำเภอ หนองวัวซอ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the west of the province of Udon Thani. The Udon Thani Province is located in the northwestern part of Northeast Thailand, Isaan so-called.

Geography

Neighbouring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Kut Chap which, Mueang Udon Thani and Nong Saeng in the province of Udon Thani, Amphoe Khao Suan Kwang Province Khon Kaen and Amphoe Non Sang and the Mueang Nongbua Lamphu Province Nongbua Lamphu.

History

Nong Wua So was posted on April 16, 1971 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by being separated from Amphoe Mueang Udon Thani. On April 1, 1974, he was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Nong Wua So is divided ( tambon) in eight communities, which in turn in 78 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are four small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Nong Wua So ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนองวัวซอ ), consisting of parts of the tambon Nong Wua So and Mak Ya,
  • Nong O Non Wai ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง อ้อ โนน หวาย ), consisting of parts of the tambon Nong O and Non Wai,
  • Non Wai ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนน หวาย ), consisting of the remaining parts of the tambon Non Wai
  • Up Mung ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล อู บ มุง ), consisting of the whole tambon Up Mung.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
