Noora Räty

Noora Räty (* May 29, 1989 in Espoo ) is a Finnish ice hockey goalkeeper who plays for the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association since 2009. At 16 she was the youngest member of the Finnish team at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin.

Career

Noora Räty played despite her young age, early on in the Naisten SM- sarja, the highest woman League of Finland, and in 2004 was a participant in the IIHF Women 's Hockey Development Camp 2004. The ice hockey games she learned at the Club Jäähonka Espoo, before deciding on the male C- Junior Team of EPS Espoo came to the Espoo Blues, where she played in the women's team and there rose immediately to the first goalkeeper. The Blues won in 2007, 2008 and 2009, the Finnish championship.

Since 2009, she studied at the University of Minnesota sports science and plays for the Golden Gophers, the ice hockey team of the University in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
