Norbert Angermann

Norbert Angermann ( born November 2, 1936 in Forst ( Lausitz) ) is a German historian.

Angermann involved with medieval Baltic history, especially the history of Livonia, and the German -Russian relations in the Middle Ages. His teacher was Paul Johansen.

Norbert Angermann was next to his own works several books out, so besides Robert Auty (Volume 1) and Robert Henri Bautier (Volumes 2-5 ) the volumes 6-9 of the Encyclopedia of the Middle Ages.

Angermann was Professor of East European History at the University of Hamburg and was retired in 2002. He lives in Buchholz in der Heide Nord.
