Norbert Klein

Norbert Johann Nepomuk P. Klein (Czech: Norbert Jan Klein, born October 25, 1866 in Brunzeif ( German: brown soap); † March 10, 1933 ) was Bishop of Brno and Grand Master of the Teutonic Order.

After studying theology in Olomouc he entered on October 16, 1887 in the Teutonic Order and began his one-year novitiate. In 1892, he made ​​his solemn profession. As a member of the Teutonic Order, he was ordained in Innsbruck on 27 July 1890 a priest. Following the appointment of the Brno Bishop Paul Graf Huyn Archbishop of Prague Johann Norbert Klein was nominated as his successor on 27 July 1916, and confirmed by papal on 28 January 1917. On January 4, 1926, he resigned the office, and was by Pope Pius XI. appointed Titular Bishop of Syene.

In 1923, Johann Norbert Klein, the Chaplain of the Teutonic Order, was elected coadjutor of the Grand Master Archduke Eugen of Austria -Teschen. After his resignation, he succeeded him in the office of Grand Master, which he held until his death.

His final resting place he found in the Grand Master grave in Freudenthal.
