Norbert Madaras

Norbert Madaras ( born December 1, 1979 in Eger) is a Hungarian water polo player.

The 1.91 m wide attacking player belongs since 2003 to the root formation of the Hungarian national team. He was third at the 2003 European Championships and won the world title in Barcelona. In Athens at the 2004 Olympic Games, he became Olympic champion. In 2005 he won silver at the World Championships. Also in the 2006 European Championship and the World Cup 2007, he was with the team second and each received silver. At the Olympic Games in 2008, the Hungarians won the finals against the team from the United States. For Madaras it was the second Olympic title in a row.

After the Olympics 2004 he moved from the Hungarian professional league, where he played for VASAS Budapest, Italy. From 2006 to 2011 he was with Pro Recco Italian champion and cup winner.
