Norbert Siedler
Norbert Siedler ( born December 29, 1982 in Wildschönau ) is an Austrian race car driver.
Life
Norbert Siedler began his career in motorsport as a kart driver. In 1992, he went at the age of ten years in the German karting scene and won the 1997 junior class 125 1999, he was an Austrian kart champion. In 2000 he moved to Formula Ford and won in Germany and Austria, respectively the championship. In 2001 he drove in the German Formula 3 Championship. For the team Palfinger he twice reached rank 4, including once in the race as part of the program for the Grand Prix of Germany. He finished sixth in the championship in 2002 and finished the season with a win in the final race at Hockenheim. It was followed by three years in the Italian Formula 3000 Championship. In 2005 he won after two wins in eight races overall.
In 2003 he drove in Vallelunga a Formula 1 test for Minardi, bribed through good times, but could not get a cockpit for a race due to lack of sponsorship funds. In 2006 he moved to the sports car. He rode now for Kruse Motorsport in the Le Mans Series. First success in the 2007 season: a fifth place at the 1000 km race at Monza. His first start in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, again for Kruse Motorsport Pescarolo - Judd on one, ended with a loss due to engine failure after 98 laps.
Middle of the 2007 season was added a new field for settlers. ADM Motorsport hired him to in the new racing series International Formula Master, to go a single-seater Nachwuchserie for the German racing crew at the start. Dangers, in this racing series, analogous to series such as the GP2 series, with identical vehicles. Settlers thanked for the new contract with wins in Porto and Anderstorp, but was unable to repeat his results with two podiums in the following year.
In 2008, Norbert Siedler also engaged in the Porsche Supercup and focused in 2009 completely on the championship, which he completed with two podium finishes. In 2010, 2011 and 2012 drove settlers in this series. The 2012 season, he finished as the overall fourth.
