Norbolethon, also Norboleton ( INN) is an anabolic steroid that was first synthesized in the 1960s in the Wyeth Laboratories in Philadelphia, but never made it to market.

Since Norbolethon long time was relatively unknown and never commercially available, has not been tested in the performed in competitive sports doping tests for the presence of the substance. The use of the highly anabolic substance in the performance arena, therefore, has long provided opportunities to improve performance without attracting attention in doping tests. Don Catlin, director of the Olympic Analytical Laboratory in Los Angeles at UCLA, pointed Norbolethon 2002 after a doping sample of the web cyclist Tammy Thomas, after striking despite the blood picture he could find no illegal substances in a first attempt. It is believed that Norbolethon is now produced in laboratories in China or Europe.
