Nordborg

Nordborg ( German: municipality Norburg ) was a municipality in Jutland Office ( Northern Schleswig ) in southwest Denmark. She took just the northern half of the island of Als ( German: Alsen ) and consisted since 1970 of the parish communities (Danish: Sogn ) Egen ( German: Eken ) Havnbjerg ( German: Hagenberg ), Oksbøl ( German: Oxbüll ), Svenstrup ( German: Schwenstrup ) and Nordborg ( German: Norburg ), which existed until 1970 from the Fleckensgemeinde same name and the rural communities Pøl and Holm. At the end of 2006, Nordborg was dissolved and together with the municipalities August Borg ( German: August Castle), Broager ( German: Broacker ) Gråsten ( German: Gravenstein ), Sønderborg ( German: Sonderburg ), Sundeved ( German: Sundewitt ) and Sydals ( German: Südalsen ) merged to form new large municipality of Sønderborg.
