Nordens Ark

Nordic Ark (German: Ark of the North) is a zoo in Sötenäs (Sweden), whose goal is to protect rare Nordic breeds to breed and if possible auszuwildern again. The visitors snow leopards, owls, reindeer, wolves and many other animals Nordic countries can visit. The animals live in spacious enclosures with lush vegetation. Thus, it is possible that some animals are submitted by visitors difficult to discover. This is also wanted by the park management to give the animals retreat.

The total area of the park is about 120 ha, but it is only about 40 ha open to visitors.

Farm

For several years, " Nordic Ark " features an adjoining farm. In Farm rare breeds of domestic animals of Scandinavia and other northern land are kept and bred under organic conditions. As the zoo, as well as the farm for visitors is available.

Location

The zoo " Nordic Ark " and the associated farm located in the west of Sweden Bohuslän landscape about 100 km north of Gothenburg.
