Nore og Uvdal is a commune in the province (county ) Buskerud in Norway. Nore og Uvdal has 2233 inhabitants ( as of March 31, 2013) and covers an area of ​​2501 km ². Administrative center is the village Rødberg. At Nore og Uvdal borders the municipalities Hol, Ål and Nes in the north, Flå and Sigdal in the east, Rollag, Tinn ( Telemark province ) and Vinje ( Telemark ) in the south and in Eidfjord in Hordaland province in the west.

The highest point of the municipality is the Borgsjåbrot ( 1485 m), which lies on the border with the municipality Tinn in Telemark. Large parts of Hardangervidda are og Uvdal in the municipality of Nore.

The municipality was created in 1962 by merging the municipalities Nore and Uvdal and forms the uppermost part of the Numedals.

Worth seeing are the stave churches of Nore and Uvdal from the 12th century.
