Norman Jeschke

Norman Jeschke ( born March 2, 1979 in Berlin, Germany ) is a German figure skater.

Biography

Jeschke began figure skating as individual runners, but was later pair skater. He started for the SC Berlin. His coach was Knut Schubert. His first figure skating partner was Mariana Kautz. With her he took in 2002 at the Olympic Winter Games in part. After the World Championships in 2002 the couple separated, and Mariana Kautz finished then - after a brief liaison with sporting Florian Just - her figure skating career.

In May 2002, Jeschke found a new partner in the Danish Mikkeline Kierkgaard. Also, this pair was coached by Knut Schubert in Berlin. Kierkgaard / Jeschke were third in the German Championship in 2004. However, because of an ISU rule relating to the Change country they could not participate in international championships 2004. In the 2005 season they fell out due to illness and injury. The pair continued to work together in Berlin and prepared there for the next season and the potential at the Olympics before. In the summer of 2005, the couple attended a training camp in Vancouver, Canada. Because of repeated violations of Mikkeline Kierkgaard the couple ended his figure skating career in November 2005, without having gone ever in European or World Championships at the start. Until November 2005 Jeschke was in the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr.

In February 2006, Jeschke had a trial with Annette Dytrt. Since May 2006, both trained as a couple in Vancouver, Canada with Bruno Marcotte. Dytrt / Jeschke said on September 24, 2006 her retirement from amateur sports to have played without a single match. The occasion was one threatened by the ISU competition suspension, the couple in the Pro7 -Show Stars on Ice should ( for which Dytrt / Jeschke had already contracted ) or other television shows occur with professional character. His partner on the show sent in the fall of 2006 was Magdalena Brzeska, in the second season of 2007, he ran with Christina Surer.

Katarina Witt in 1995 acted Jeschke movie Ice Princess with. In 2008, he portrayed himself in the RTL soap opera All that matters, where he ran by side with the main actress Tanja Szewczenko page. Currently, he is in a relationship with Szewczenko. On 25 February 2011, their daughter was born.
