Norris McWhirter

Norris McWhirter ( born August 12, 1925 in Winchmore Hill, Middlesex, † April 19, 2004 in Wiltshire ) was a British publisher and co-founder of the famous reference book Guinness Book of Records.

He founded in 1954 with his twin brother Ross McWhirter the growing worldwide spread Records lexicon. His brother was killed in a 1975 IRA attack. Norris McWhirter was active until 1996 in the publishing house operates.

He died at the age of 78 years playing tennis from a heart attack.
