Norske Skog

The Group Norske Skog (Norwegian for " Norwegian Forest " ), headquartered in Oslo (Norway ) is one of the largest paper manufacturers in the world.

History

The precursor of Norske Skog was founded as a " Nordenfjelske Treforedling " on 1 March 2012.

The first paper mill of the company took off in 1966 in Skogn in Levanger production with the PM1.

Products

The product range for the most part focused on the production of publication papers for newspapers and magazines. With its products, the company achieved a market share of about 13 % and is the second largest supplier of newsprint and the third largest producer of magazine paper.

Production sites

In full or partial ownership of the company incurred in 1962 with 24 production sites in 15 countries, including paper mills in Duisburg -Walsum and in Austria Bruck an der Mur. The Group employs approximately 9,800 employees and had a turnover of around € 3 billion ( NOK 26.5 billion ) in fiscal year 2008.
