North Bay Village is a city in Miami -Dade County in the U.S. state of Florida with 7,137 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

North Bay Village consists of two islands in Biscayne Bay and is located between Miami and Miami Beach.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 7,137 inhabitants distributed to 4,572 households. The population density was 7,930 inh. / Km ². 82.6 % of the population were white, 6.1% African American, 0.2% Native American and 4.1% Asian Americans. 3.6% were members of other ethnic groups and 3.4% in different ethnic groups. 58.0 % of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 22.3 % of all households lived in x % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 15.1% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 2.11 persons and the average family size is 2.77 people.

17.1% of the population were younger than 20 years, 39.8 % were 20-39 years old, 29.2% were 40-59 years old and 13.7 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 37 years. 50.3 % of the population were male and 49.7 % female.

The average annual income was $ 50,750, while 10.3 % of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 33.39 % of the population spoke Spanish 53.29 % and 13.32% had a different mother tongue.

Traffic

About the islands leads to the John F. Kennedy Causeway. The nearest airports are the Opa- locka Executive Airport national and the Miami International Airport, both about 16 km away.

Crime

The crime rate in 2010 was 121 points ( U.S. average: 266 points ) in the low range. There were nine injuries, 59 burglaries, 103 thefts and 19 car thefts.
