North Brunswick Township is a township in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. In the 2000 census, a total population of 36,287 was registered.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 31.8 km ², of which 30.5 km ² of land and 1.3 km ² (1.88 %) is water.

According to the census of 2000, there are 32,287 people, 13,635 households, and 9,367 families residing in the city. The population density is 1165.6 persons per km ². 62.73 % of the population are White, 15.27% African American, 0.17 % Native American, 14.20 % Asian, 0.03 % Pacific Islander, 4.70 % from other races, and 2.89% mixed race. 10.40 % are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

Of the 13,635 households 33.3 % have children under 18 years. 53.4 % are married couples living together, 11.6% are single mothers, 31.3 % are non-families, 24.5 % consists of single-person households and 7.5% in people older than 65, the average household size is 2, 58, the average family size is 3.12.
