The North Channel ( in Gaelic and Scottish Gaelic in Sruth na Maoile and in English as Straits of Moyle or Sea of ​​Moyle North Channel or equivalent) is an extension of the Irish Sea and separates Scotland from Northern Ireland.

At its narrowest point - between the Mull of Kintyre and Fair Head in Ballycastle - the northern channel is only about 27 km wide, between the Northern Irish coast east of Bangor and Stranraer about 40 km. The deepest point is some 300 meters called the Beaufort 's Dyke.

The small Northern Irish Rathlin Island is situated in the North Channel.
