North Ealing tube station

North Ealing is an aboveground station London Underground in the London Borough of Ealing. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 3 on Queens Drive. In 2011, 0.94 million passengers used this station. About 500 m further east is located on the same road the West Acton Station on the Central Line.

The opening of the station took place on June 23, 1903 by the Metropolitan District Railway (MDR, predecessor of today's District Line ), as part of the newly built route between Ealing Common and Park Royal & Twyford Abbey, which was five days later extended to South Harrow. This new track was - together with the already existing tracks between Ealing Common and Acton Town - the first electrified underground rail line, the Underground. On July 4, 1932, the operation was transferred to the Piccadilly Line.

The two-storey station building is made of red bricks and a black slate roof. It is the only from the time the Northwest expansion of MDR, which has remained largely in its original condition. Since 2003, the building stands together with the pedestrian bridge under monument protection (Grade II).
