North East Derbyshire

North East Derbyshire is a District in the county of Derbyshire in England. The administrative headquarters is not in the district itself, but in the town of Chesterfield, which is enclosed three-quarters of North East Derbyshire. Significant places are Arkwright Town, Ashover, Calow, Clay Cross, Dronfield, Eckington, Killamarsh, North Wingfield, Tupton and Wingerworth.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the urban districts Clay Cross and Dronfield and almost the entire Rural District Chesterfield.
