North Gaza Governorate

The province North Gaza (Arabic محافظة شمال غزة, DMG Muhafazat SimAL Gazza ) is an administrative district of the Palestinian National Authority. It is located in the northern Gaza Strip. According to the Palestinian Bureau of Statistics, the government in mid- 2007 270.245 inhabitants ( 7.2 percent of the Palestinian population ) with 40 262 households throughout the year 2007.

North Gaza has five seats in the Palestinian Legislative Council. These were all won in the election in 2006 by members of the Hamas party.
