North Harbour Rugby Union

The North Harbour Rugby Union ( NHRU ) is the national rugby union Provincial Association for the cities of Waitakere and North Shore, as well as the Rodney District on the North Island of New Zealand, which is the northern part of the metropolitan area of Auckland.

The selection team of the Association in the national championship ITM Cup wears their home games at North Harbour Stadium in Albany from. Players from North Harbour are eligible to play in the international Super Rugby League and are summoned by the blues.

The association was founded in 1985, after several clubs from the Auckland Rugby Football Union had split off. The biggest success is to win the challenge to the Ranfurly Shield game on September 24, 2006 compared Canterbury.
