The North Korean national ice hockey team is the national women's hockey team's selection of North Korea. It is located in the current IIHF World Ranking of 2010 at the 21st place and plays at the 2011 World Cup in the so-called C World Cup ( officially: Division II).

History

The North Korean national ice hockey team of women was founded in 1999 and has been increasing since the World Cup in the same year participated in international competitions. At their first World Cup finals, the team moved from North Korea withdrew from the Asian qualifiers against Kazakhstan. A year later, the team sat through the qualification as group winners, and was inducted into the Division I second-rate. This was held for three years before the Asian had to compete for the World Cup 2005 for the first time in the third-tier Division II. In this and the following two world championships of the re-emergence could not be obtained, so that North Korea will also be represented at the 2011 World Championships in Division II.
