North Luangwa National Park

The Nordluangwa National Park (English North Luangwa National Park ) is a 4636 km ² area in the valley of the Luangwa River in the province of Muchinga in Zambia. This national park has abzufahren not the enormous diversity and density of animals such as the South Luangwa National Park and not the scenic beauty of the small Luambe National Park on the other side of the Luangwa, but it is wilder, less developed than these, and best with a local safari provider. The park is only open from June to October. During the rainy season a vehicular access to the park is impossible. There are three rudimentary camps, but which offer at the moment for only a few people, as the only tourist development is under construction.

The terrain alternates between mopane forest, riparian forest along the river, open grasslands, wide flood plains and acacia sealing. To the east lies the Muchinga Mountains, flows from the numerous streams.
